ISH has the right to refuse certain activities.
All events must be paid for in advance. Selling tickets, having cash bars, or charging fees on the premises is not allowed.
ISH furniture can only be moved under the supervision of ISH staff. Tables and chairs must be carried, not dragged or rolled.
If you need to move large furniture like a piano or sofa, you must give ISH 7 days' notice. If notice isn’t given, ISH can’t guarantee the furniture will be moved, and there may be a charge.
Music must be kept at a volume that’s respectful of the neighborhood. Outdoor music is allowed from 1 pm to 10 pm and must be kept at an acceptable level.
The venue’s occupancy limits, as set by the DC Fire Marshall, must be strictly followed.
Throwing rice, confetti, or similar items is not allowed. Sparklers are also not permitted.
Candle use is limited. Votive candles may be allowed on dining or serving tables with ISH approval. Only votive or globe candles are allowed in the garden.
ISH is a smoke-free property.
ISH requires a certified licensed bartender to serve alcohol at events. This service will be added to your bill.
