Rules of the space

Host rules

1. Booking & Confirmation
A 50% deposit may be required to secure the booking.
The final guest count must be confirmed at least 30 days prior to the event.
2. Venue Usage
The venue capacity must not exceed the agreed number of guests.
Guests are required to adhere to the allocated event duration. Extensions are subject to availability and additional charges.
3. Food & Beverages
All food and beverages consumed must be provided by The Library, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Last order for alcoholic beverages will comply with local regulations.
4. Conduct & Behaviour
The legal drinking age in Singapore (18 years and above) strictly applies.
5. Decorations & External Vendors
Any external vendors (e.g. decorators, AV providers) must be approved by the venue in advance.
Setup and teardown timings must be strictly adhered to.
Any damages or defects arising from temporary décor or external vendors will be charged based on the extent of damage.
6. Equipment & Technical
The venue’s in-house equipment must not be tampered with without prior approval.
7. Damages & Liability
The organiser will be held responsible for any damages caused to the venue, furniture, or equipment during the event.
The venue reserves the right to charge for repair, replacement, or cleaning costs where necessary.
8. Safety & Compliance
Smoking is strictly prohibited within indoor areas.
9. Noise & Music
Music volume must comply with local regulations.
The venue reserves the right to control or adjust sound levels at any time.
10. Cancellations & Amendments
Any cancellation or changes to the booking must be made in writing.
Deposits may be non-refundable depending on the notice period.
The venue reserves the right to cancel the event under unforeseen circumstances, with prior notice.
11. Force Majeure
The venue shall not be liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond its control (e.g. natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.).
