The RWA is opening its iconic Grade II* listed landing and balcony for exclusive evening hire as well as the smaller Kenny Gallery for more intimate events.
Whether you’re planning a corporate Christmas do, a special celebration or a formal canapé reception, our impressive marble landing, overlooked by a breath-taking atrium and historic west-facing terrace, is the perfect setting to treat your clients, colleagues, friends and family.
The Kenny Gallery and first floor spaces are suitable for 20 to 60 guests.

Located in a spectacular Grade II* listed building in the heart of Bristol, the RWA is the UK's only regional Royal Academy of Art and one of only five in total, alongside those in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and London. Our magnificent spaces can be hired for a range of events, including canape receptions, product launches, and photography shoots.
Please note: the types of events we can accommodate depend on the exhibitions on show on your requested date. We cannot hold multi-day events, and we cannot accommodate dancefloors.
We can host drinks receptions at any time of year, however seated dinners can only be hosted during our Annual Open Exhibitions, normally between September - December annually.
We have a range of trusted caterers we work with and can provide an in-house bar service.
The RWA is not licensed for wedding ceremonies.
