An unusual venue could be a historical landmark, a unique restaurant setting, or even an industrial warehouse, offering a surprising and memorable backdrop for your event. Choosing one of these venues for your event in Glasgow involves focusing on a few key factors:

  • Degree of Uniqueness: How different do you want your venue to be? If you are comfortable with a venue that may require you to be highly flexible and imaginative in your event planning, then you will find many unusual venues that please you. If you take a more traditional approach, you may want to consider how much time it will take you to organise an event in an ‘unusual’ space and reduce your expectations.
  • Venue Type: Define the nature of your event and ensure the venue complements your desired atmosphere and theme. Imagine a romantic wedding in a historic mansion with elegant furnishings reminiscent of Pride and Prejudice. Or launch your app in a luxurious modern space with touches of burnished steel and glass.
  • Capacity and Layout: Assess the venue's capacity to comfortably accommodate your guest list and evaluate its layout to meet your event's logistical needs. Don’t try to save money by choosing the wrong sized space.
  • Location: Choose a venue conveniently located with easy access for your guests, considering transportation options and parking availability.
  • Amenities and Services: Confirm that the venue offers essential amenities such as audiovisual equipment, catering services, and any additional services you may require.

Booked Exclusive Use Venue at The Clydeside Distillery
5.0
I recently celebrated my 50th at The Clydeside Distillery, and I’m incredibly grateful to have found this venue — it truly was the star of the show. I hoped for a smart, grown-up event that would still be fun, and the distillery delivered that and more. The venue itself is warm, sophisticated, and beautifully presented, with a stunning backdrop of the Clyde and the city lights at night. The magnificent whisky stills, created an atmosphere that impressed every guest. From start to finish, the staff made everyone feel special and exceptionally well looked after. The order of the event ran smoothly, and the food was outstanding — plentiful, delicious, and beautifully served. The whisky tour was relaxed, informative, and great fun, with approachable staff who clearly love what they do. In the days following the celebration, guests continued to send me sincere feedback about how delighted they were with the hospitality they received. Many said they wanted to return for another visit. The staff were reassuring and attentive throughout the months of planning, taking all my hopes for the night into account. I couldn’t have wished for a better place to celebrate such a special milestone. I would happily do it all again.
