Black Studio is a Theatre in The Boardwalk; a black-box rehearsal space defined by dark walls and an open, adaptable performance floor.

Design: The studio has an industrial ceiling with exposed lighting rigging, a matt black performance floor and high windows that sit above eye level; seating and equipment are mobile to allow different layouts.

Features: The studio includes an in-room PA system and speaker setup, Wi-Fi and a cleared performance/dance floor. The space permits own music and external DJs and provides wheelchair access and accessible toilets. Venue AV kit and technical support are available on request.

The Boardwalk is a nut-free building.

All publicity information and material, e.g., posters, press releases, and advertisements relating to the renter's lease, must refer to the venue as The Boardwalk.

Access to the premises will be permitted only during the times booked in advance by the Renter and shown on the booking confirmation.

Any additional use of the premises not agreed upon in advance, either before (preparation time) or after (delay in clearing the premises), will result in additional charges.

The team on site we're helpful and although we had some issues with the technical setup in the room they worked on a solution right away. The guests seemed to appreciate the catering - not much was left!
The communication with the venue was sporadic and when one of our guest speakers asked a few questions about the set up it took around a week to get a response. The projector in the room didn't work correctly but to their credit they came up with a solution pretty fast.
