About this space
About 3,600 sq ft of space that can host up to 200 people. It’s set up to work well for events, productions, and creative activations. The room has seating options with foldable chairs and tables, TVs, and a sound system with seven passive speakers. There’s also a retail area that works nicely for pop-ups or brand displays.
If you need more space or equipment, there are a few add-ons available. One option is access to MACEL’s downstairs coworking studio, which includes industrial sewing machines, drafting tables, industrial irons, and a shared lounge area. It’s a useful setup for teams working on fashion or hands-on creative projects.

MACEL House Rules
1. Respect for the Space
Guests must treat the venue, furniture, equipment, and installations with care. Any damage caused during the booking may be subject to repair or replacement costs.
2. Capacity Limit
The maximum capacity of the venue is 200 people. Guests must not exceed this limit at any time.
3. Setup and Teardown
Guests are provided with additional time before and after their booking for setup and teardown. The booked time is reserved for the event itself.
5. Garbage and Cleanliness
Guests must leave the venue in reasonable condition. All personal items, decorations, props, and equipment must be removed after the event.
Guests are responsible for collecting and taking their garbage with them.
6. Decorations and Installations
Temporary decorations are allowed, however:
No nails, screws, or permanent adhesives may be used on walls or surfaces without approval
8. Alcohol Policy
Alcohol may only be served with a valid Special Occasion Permit (SOP) where required and must comply with Ontario regulations.
9. Ticketed Events
Ticketed events are permitted. Event organizers are responsible for ticketing, entry management, and crowd control.
10. Security Requirements
Depending on the type or size of the event, licensed security personnel may be required.
11. Insurance
Certain events may require event liability insurance. MACEL reserves the right to request proof of insurance prior to the event.
14. Smoking Policy
Smoking, vaping, and open flames are not permitted inside the venue.
15. Safety Regulations
Fire exits, walkways, and safety equipment must remain clear and accessible at all times.
16. Liability
MACEL is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings or equipment brought into the space.
Cancellation policy: Standard 30 day with Grace Period
