About this space

The Vanguard is a purpose-built live music and performance venue focused on theatre-style presentation and an intimate audience experience.

Design: The interior pairs deep-coloured velvet wall hangings, dark timber panelling and low tables to create a compact, retro cabaret appearance. The room uses low, warm lighting and tiered seating arrangements to keep sightlines close and concentrated.

Features: The venue includes a licensed bar and on-site dining options with food available at the bar. The venue provides PA speakers, Wi‑Fi and air conditioning, and it permits outside DJs or use of the venue's own music. The venue offers wheelchair access and accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Local artists and promoters, and groups of friends seeking a relaxed, theatre-style seated performance or a social, dining-led evening.

What guests say: The venue delivers clear acoustics and comfortable fixed seating. The venue maintains a retro, well-kept interior that feels atmospheric and intimate.
