Entire Venue at York Lane

About this space

York Lane is a compact café-by-day, bar-by-night venue whose defining quality is a sunken, split-level layout that creates closely grouped, separate seating areas.

Design: Interior decor centres on a bold, high-contrast mural in black, red and yellow balanced against warm timber seating, white-topped tables and low pendant lights. The ceiling is dark-painted and the finishes are intentionally raw, keeping the space visually focused and compact.

Features: A staffed bar serves coffee and light food during daytime hours and beer, wine and cocktails in the evening. A built-in PA system and speakers support playlists and announcements, and a small vinyl collection and cycling-themed fittings add character. Natural light reaches parts of the interior and seating is arranged as stools, benches and small tables for flexible layouts.

Ideal for: Small social groups seeking a relaxed, informal mix of standing and seated interaction in a compact, casual bar setting.

What guests say: The venue has friendly, attentive service and consistent coffee and drinks quality. The space is regarded as a charming, tucked-away spot with a noticeable cycling-related decorative theme.
