The Basement Bar is its own world, completely separate from the pub floor above, with low light, vintage booths and a bar that’s yours for the night.
Whether you’re after an intimate seated dinner or a proper standing event with drinks flowing, the space works either way. Up to 100 guests standing, 60–70 for a seated setup. Booth seating, cocktail tables and dinner tables give you flexibility depending on what the night calls for.
It comes with a full A/V system, wireless microphones and music compatibility — so if your function needs a speech, a presentation or just a solid playlist pumped through a decent system, you’re sorted.

2. All spaces require either a Deposit or Room Hire Fee (subjective to date and type of event).
3. No Smoking under any circumstances.
4. Criterion Hotel adheres to the Responsible Service of Alcohol & Licencing Conditions.
5. Criterion Hotel is a safe and inclusive space; anyone not adhering to this may result event cancellation, eviction from premises and associated fees absorbed.
