We had this venue hired for our work Christmas party. Walla is the person I first contacted and throughout he was extremely helpful and professional. Our server (Layla) was so lovely and helpful. There was a small issue with our food and she came over to double check and rectify it. Considering how large a group we were, the staff did amazingly to accommodate our large food order and keeping our tab within budget. The venue itself is very nice, we sat in the mezzanine area, which was very cosy. There was plenty of space for us all to sit and the dimmable lights are a nice touch. I was even able to move the tables to create a more social space for my staff. Overall, looks exactly like the pictures, is very cosy, and the staff are lovely. We had a fantastic evening in the end.
There were a couple of mishaps on the night. The first being that the original area I had booked (the terrace) and placed a deposit down for was unavailable. The previous party was overrunning which meant that we had to sit in the mezzanine area instead. Luckily this wasn't and issue and worked out just fine, but there was no communication about this adjustment prior to my arrival. The second slight issue we had was with food. Granted we had a large order, but the food I initially ordered took over an hour to arrive. Furthermore, we had to make some adjustments, which ended up taking even longer to come- resulting in a few guests eating 2.5 hours late! Layla was really helpful about this and sorted the problem immediately, and from what I gather, their usual chef was not in that evening. The food was fine, but don’t go in expecting anything special. Some guests had an issue with the amount of stairs so for anyone with accessibility issues, bare this in mind.
