Beautiful Brick Studio was absolutely amazing! The venue was clean, elegant, and the perfect space for my son’s prom send-off. The staff was professional, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. Our guests loved the atmosphere, and everything came together beautifully. The space photographed wonderfully and helped make the event feel truly special. I highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to host a memorable celebration. Thank you for helping make our day unforgettable! Thank you Nick

Your Guide to Renting Party Venues in Los Angeles, CA
How to Choose the Right Private Party Venue in LA
When options feel endless, it helps to focus. Here’s what to consider before booking your space:
- Budget: Knowing your limit helps you stay on track. Even in a high-cost city like LA, you’ll find affordable private bars, casual restaurants, and creative studios that won’t break the bank.
- Date: Popular spots get snapped up months in advance, especially on weekends. If your date is flexible, you’ll have more negotiating power and better deals.
- Guest Count: Estimate how many people you’re hosting so you can rent a space that’s the right size. Don’t overpay for a massive venue if you’re planning something small and intimate.
- Venue Type & Facilities: Do you need in-house catering or prefer to bring your own? Want space for a DJ, dance floor, or photo booth? Make a list of essentials and check with the venue manager before booking.
- Location: Do you want to party near the beach or in the heart of Hollywood? Consider ease of access, nearby public transit, and parking availability for your guests.

LA Party Ideas for Your Next Event
Need more inspiration on how to make your party in Los Angeles one for the books? We’ve gathered some tips and ideas!
- Host a costume party. Decide on a theme and ask everyone to dress up! Since Los Angeles is soaked in movie-making history, why not go for something movie or TV-related? You could even hold a competition for the best costume and prepare a fun prize for the winner!
- Rent a rooftop venue. Take your party to the next level (quite literally) and book one of the many rooftop venues you’ll find in the city. Sip your drinks and watch as the sun sets over the Hollywood Hills and the city’s blinking lights come to life. We especially recommend Rooftop at Casa Vertigo or 1370 Rooftop Lounge.
- Party on the water. Why stick to the ground, when you can take your party out into the open water? Head to Marina del Rey and rent one of the shiny yachts docked at the harbor. Most of them boast sleek, luxurious interiors with all the facilities you’ll need for a successful party.
- Get off the beaten track. Everyone knows about West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip, Santa Monica Pier or Culver City’s Washington Boulevard. Dare to wander off the main streets and discover what might be hiding in the area’s less frequented alleys! You may just stumble across a place such as Remix Room Hollywood, a speakeasy bar with a hip, chill atmosphere. You can find it just north of Hollywood Boulevard.
- Party like a star! Los Angeles is filled with private party hotspots loved by the rich and famous - in fact, some people visit the city solely in hopes of running into their favorite celebrity. While the dream of partying with movie stars will most likely remain just that, you can still check out some of their favorite hot spots. Start with West Hollywood but be sure to check out the bustling nightlife of the fabled Sunset Strip, where you’ll find famous places like Rainbow Bar & Grill or the Chateau Marmont. Discover WeHo’s beating heart, aka Santa Monica Boulevard, with its private bars and clubs, such as the legendary Troubadour. Popular Melrose Avenue, with known spots like Craig’s or Catch LA, is also worth exploring. Places like Musso & Frank Grill or The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard are also favorite celebrity hangout spots. You can also visit Franklin Village, luxurious Beverly Hills with its Beverly Hills Hotel or head to the coast, where places like Nobu Malibu in Malibu or Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica are known to attract the rich and famous.
Tips for a Budget-Friendly Party in LA
- Book outside the hotspot zones: Try areas like Reseda, North Hollywood, or Mid-Wilshire for more value-friendly venues that still deliver on style.
- Bring your own food & drinks: Ask about BYOB and external catering policies, many venues allow this for a small corkage or cleanup fee.
- Offer a cash bar: Skip the open bar. Let guests buy their own drinks while you focus your budget on food or entertainment.
- Use venue filters: On Tagvenue, you can filter by price, location, and capacity, so you only see venues that fit your range.
Small Party Spaces in LA
If you're planning a more private celebration, LA has many small party venues available for hire. If you're hosting a birthday dinner, engagement toast, or cosy friends' gathering, these spaces offer charm without overwhelming size.
Over in Westwood, Stella Coffee provides a relaxed, modern space for daytime celebrations or low-key birthday brunches. If you're leaning toward something with a touch of quirk, MooseCat Recording in Mid-Wilshire has warm lighting and a homey studio atmosphere that’s great for smaller music-loving groups. For those near North Hollywood, REAL DEAL STUDIO delivers a super budget-friendly option with space for around 15 people for casual meetups or micro-celebrations.

Verified Reviews of Party Venues in Los Angeles, CA
AMAZING! What a fantastic experience. My husband plays in a cover band and we rented the studio for his 60th birthday. We had a party and the band played for 3 hours. From start to finish, it was an amazing experience; everything went off without a hitch. Everyone who works there (from owners to interns) was so nice and helpful. Highly recommend.
I hosted an event with graduate students from 4 different schools at St. Felix Hollywood--It was a huge success! Our attendees really enjoyed the space, and the staff at the event were very attentive (without "getting in the way"). Our payment for the event was a bit complicated, because we had various schools contributing to the budget. John was flexible with the payment procedure and accepted funds from a couple of different sources, which made the event planners' lives a lot easier! Overall, I highly recommend the venue!!!
We couldn't have found a better spot to hold our fun rehearsal dinner! St. Felix is very clean, the food was GREAT, and the space is trendy and well-decorated. We had the most wonderful night here, and John, the owner, was so kind and helpful as we were making plans. Jessica, our host, was a pleasure, as well! Thank you so much for making the perfect party so easy!!
Best party venue! We had our wedding after party here. Sage is the sweetest and was so attentive at our party. We had about 60 guests and I believe the max cap is 70. We had plenty of seating options from arm chairs, couches, and cocktail tables with bar stools. Had enough space for all the seating, a dance floor, dj booth, and a photobooth. We never felt too crowded. They have a nice bar area with a small fridge. There is only one bathroom but we didn't have a problem. The Ralphs right across the street was so convenient. We ordered 6 pounds of chicken tenders and sent some people to bring it over during the party. Got ice and extra supplies there too. 10/10 venue! Can't wait to come back for some community events they host here.
This experience was awesome. I planned a secret 30th birthday party for my girlfriend and all her friends, I must say, the staff made the experience truly unforgettable. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine enthusiasm that set the tone for the entire evening. The bartenders were nothing short of amazing They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our group had everything we needed throughout the evening. Stephanie handled our large group with ease and grace. The ambiance of the speakeasy was enhanced by the staff's impeccable service. Their professionalism and friendliness made everyone feel welcome and special. They truly went above and beyond to make my girlfriends birthday celebration a night to remember. Overall, the staff at this speakeasy made my girlfriends birthday an extraordinary experience. Their dedication to excellent service and their genuine warmth made all the difference. I can't recommend them highly enough for any special occasion or night out
Everything about this place was perfect for my party! The service was friendly and excellent, the location and setting was perfect as well. My guests were able to party inside where the DJ and bar is located, and they were also able to go outside to the patio area to eat and get fresh air. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to party hard until 2 A.M!
I really enjoyed the space. Aaron was very accommodating. He even helped me to bring items up the elevator. Clean space , spacious and great for pictures. My son enjoyed his birthday party. Thank you. I would definitely rent space again!
