About this space

The bright glass atrium connects the old and the new buildings of Manchester Art Gallery, creating an impressive contemporary space filled with light. After hours, the Atrium transforms to become an exciting event space, well-suited to hosting corporate dinners and presentations for up to 120 guests as well as standing receptions and parties for up to 200. Plus, with two large, ceiling flown plasma screens and an integrated PA system, the Atrium is ideal for panel events, presentations, and award ceremonies.

It features plenty of natural light and a flexible room layout which can be configured in a variety of ways.

Home to our collection of artworks by LS Lowry and Valette, Gallery 16 is a stunning and unique space for you to say your vows. After the ceremony, the lavish Pre-Raphaelite Galleries are available for exclusive use for your drinks reception and/or wedding breakfast.
Alternatively, the Atrium also makes a great space for your wedding breakfast or evening reception.

We loved the space and the staff were so accommodating to our needs! Debbie was a star and she really helped us sort everything we needed! We had just the right amount of space we needed with additional space for teas and coffees in the foyer. Thanks so much for having us!
