The lavish Victorian and Pre-Raphaelite Galleries are versatile and an unparalleled event space in Manchester. An array of highly detailed, gloriously colourful paintings, designs and crafts are displayed within these stunning galleries.

The perfect location for pre dinner drinks or private drinks receptions for up to 300 guests.
Dining can take place in Galleries 9 and 10, with a capacity to seat up to 80.

Guests may also enjoy a guided tour of the vast collections and diverse temporary exhibitions.

Filming and Photography Offers

With high ceilings, wooden floors, grand staircases, and traditional gallery spaces, Manchester Art Gallery offers a wide choice of visuals, combining the
neo-Greek style of the Entrance Hall with a contemporary Atrium constructed entirely from glass.

Filming can be accommodated outside gallery opening times: 10am - 5pm, Tuesday - Sunday.
Hire for filming includes access to all gallery spaces for the duration of the hire. Green rooms and crew catering can also be provided

My wife and I had a wonderful wedding here, would recommend to anyone looking for an elegant Central Manchester location. Debbie Kay, the event planner at the gallery, is a delight to work with and worked harder than we ever could have asked to make our day everything we could have dreamed. The Victorian Galleries at Manchester Art Gallery was the perfect venue for our 20th anniversary celebration dinner this week. The tables were beautifully decorated and everyone was really helpful and friendly which gave a lovely atmosphere. Everyone was talking about what a fantastic and really special evening it was and we have some wonderful photos. Lorna's organisation and help in putting this together for us made it feel like everything was taken care of and her advice and guidance was invaluable.
