Rules of the space

Host rules

• The booking is valid only for the rooms and times stated in your confirmation.
• Access to the space will be provided by key code 24 hours in advance of the booking.
• No smoking, illegal activity, or use of hazardous materials is permitted.
• The hirer is responsible for the conduct and safety of all guests/attendees.
• For all evening and weekend bookings, MyEdinburgh may require additional information before confirming the booking, including expected attendance, event format, use of music or sound, catering arrangements, guest arrival and departure arrangements, and the name of the person responsible for managing the event on the day.
• If a booking gives rise to noise complaints, disturbance, breach of these terms, or concern about the impact on neighbouring residents, MyEdinburgh reserves the right to restrict, stop or cancel the event, apply additional conditions, refuse future bookings, or recover any reasonable costs incurred.
All spaces must be left in the condition they were found. This includes:
• Floors clear of rubbish, food crumbs, and spills. A vacuum and mop are available.
• Used crockery washed, dried, and returned to the kitchen area.
• Large food waste (e.g. Lunch boxes) bagged and removed to the communal bins at the top of the lane. Black bin bags can be found in the reception kitchen cupboard.
• Small waste (e.g. cardboard cups, napkins) disposed of in labelled bins in reception.
• Furniture returned to original position. Green chairs in the Baking Room stacked and placed at the back of the room.
• Lights, heating, and equipment switched off and plugs turned off.
• Activate the alarm when leaving, lock the front door and return the key to the key lock and change the displayed code.
Failure to meet these conditions will result in a minimum £50 cleaning fee being charged.

Cancellation policy: Standard 60 day with Grace Period
