About this space
The Cookbook Shop is Scotland’s only bookshop dedicated entirely to food and drink.
Located below street level in Edinburgh’s city centre, the Shop offers an intimate and characterful setting for events that celebrate cooking, writing, and all the ways that food makes community.
The space can accommodate up to 20 guests seated at two long tables, with room for more if an additional table is provided. It can also host up to 25 guests in a theatre-style layout or up to 50 guests standing.
Facilities include:

• Plates, bowls, cutlery, pitchers;
• Kettle, plug-in induction hob, air fryer;
• Projector screen, integrated sound system, Wi-Fi;
• Customisable, street-level signage;
• Single toilet;

• Fully flexible, dimmable lighting;
• Back room with full-sized fridge/freezer, prep and storage space, and handwashing station;
• Enclosed kids’ area with play kitchen;
• Private outdoor space at front for breaks, with secured area for prams.

• Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the space, including the external cloakroom.
• Damage to the space or the products within it will result in additional charges.
