Art Gallery and Pop Up Shop at 2104 Dundas West

I rented this space for a queer love arts market and reached out through tagvenue and was encouraged by property management (Kiko) to move off of tagvenue. I agreed as (sorry, tagvenue) I hoped it would help them incur less fees for the exchange. Kiko took a while to get back to me at first - which I did not mind. But she continually followed up with me if she did not hear from me immediately. I had one question between paying for the event and renting the event and she did not answer it (and when she did she was rude) until the day of the event. She was quick to message me about money but would not follow-up with receipts when she received payments - and payments went to someone who was not listed on their "contract". On the first day of my rental, I was let into the venue an hour late. I made zero requests throughout the four days I rented this space. As a small business owner myself (a one-woman organization), I cleaned the facility by myself to the best of my abilities on a strict time limit because I was threatened multiple times with $250/hr fees for staying late (even though I chose the times I wanted to stay until, i.e. I said I would stay until 10, but had I said I wanted to stay until 11 - the fees were charged daily, so I'm not sure why this mattered). I left some erasable marker on the outside of the window I could not reach and one piece of vinyl floor-tape (used for safe laying) and they were prompt to use this as an excuse to keep my $500 deposit. I have to say I am very grateful for a space that smelled good (like incense) and was a blank slate. But my experience with Kiko was disheartening, my experience with Noel was to reach out to Kiko, and I'm now out $500 for trying to throw a celebration of love inspired by queer artists in this art gallery/pop-up shop. Also, objectively speaking, the foot traffic is abysmal. No amount of signage on Roncesvalles, College, Dundas, or Howard Park could save it either.
