About this space

This 1,500 sq ft recording studio includes a separate control room and live recording area, equipped with a Toft ATB 24 console, API 3124V mic preamps, Universal Audio LA-610, 24 channels of A/D and D/A conversion, a Tascam 38 reel-to-reel recorder and a Tascam 388 cassette recorder.

Instruments available include a grand piano, upright piano, Hammond organ, four drum kits, a selection of snares, electric and acoustic guitars, and a Jazz Bass. The studio also provides 10 chairs, four music stands, a lounge, kitchenette and private restroom.

The space is suitable for music recording, rehearsals, podcasts and music video shoots. A house engineer is included with every session, and external engineers are also welcome.

Host rules

• Production use only: film, photo, video and music production. No parties or events.
• Insurance (every booking, any crew size): send a certificate of insurance at least 48 hours before load-in showing commercial general liability of $2,000,000 per occurrence, naming Breathe Entertainment Inc. as additional insured, with a waiver of subrogation. Without it, no access and no refund.
• Studio terms: the studio.b rental terms must be signed before load-in.
• Rigging: only certified riggers may rig to the grid or truss, with written notice to us first.
• Crew count: checked on arrival; extra people are billed at the correct crew rate. Crews of 31+: message us for a custom full-day offer.
• Cleaning: leave the studio as you found it (tape removed, floors swept, garbage out), or a $200 cleaning fee applies.
• Power: bookings of 3+ days have metered power and a $500 power deposit.
• No smoking.
• No pets (service animals welcome).
