The room itself and staff at Browns were great. Perfect for what we needed and the staff were attentive. We had a lovely evening overall.
Extermely poor communication throughout the booking process. We were sent two 'occasions' menus and i asked if we all needed to pick from the same one, which i never had a response and i requested a soy allergen menu 4 times which was never recieved. We had to google it in the end and look on their website - which provided a different occasions menu.
We were given a link to order our food, however this was a choice of the entire menu not the occasions menu resulting in confusion of what we could order, the occasions menu we were given didn't have vegan options so were told we could have any from the a la carte menu causing more confusion on how this will be calculated into the 'occasions' price.
I rang the restaurant to confirm and they told me it was all calculated on their end through the till so we ordered through the link.
Some people's total came to much less than the menu price which was £40 for two courses or 3 courses for £46 one one menu and £32.50 for the classics menu. Our vegan friends totals came to £30 for example.
My personal choices came from the classics menu - £32.50 i ended up paying £47.14 (just for food, this isn't including drinks). Another member of our group paid around £70. Not a single person paid an 'occasions' menu price.

Booking was super easy, staff were really helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process. The room is lovely, bit of a squeeze for 18 but we made it work! Food and drinks were all delicious and there was never a moment were we felt forgotten, there was always someone poking their head in to check we had everything we needed.
Paying was a nightmare, I had really hoped there would be an easier way to settle the bill but it took about 40 minutes in total for each of us to pay individually and take each item off the bill. During that time and while we were queuing to pay, our tables were cleared including drinks that weren't finished. It was very complicated and unfortunately put a dampener on what otherwise would have been an amazing evening.
