About Chapel Allerton Arts Centre
Chapel Allerton Arts Centre is a Tagvenue Partner. This business has registered with Tagvenue and agreed to our venue partner standards.
Chapel Allerton Arts Centre is an independent arts venue and event space on Potternewton Lane in Chapel Allerton, north Leeds. The building is ours, which means you can take the whole of it, or just one room, without the timings and the house rules of a hotel function suite.
Inside there is a main gallery, a conservatory that opens onto the garden, and the Blue Gallery, a smaller room that suits meetings, committees and workshops. There is a licensed bar, a cafe, a garden and terrace, and 21 free parking spaces on site and good street parking, which is rare this close to a high street.
Parties and celebrations take the whole building: all three rooms, plus the garden and the bar, for up to 85 guests. Funeral teas and wakes are whole building bookings too, so nothing else is running alongside you. Meetings, workshops, classes and regular weekly hire are booked room by room, daytime or evening.
The centre is also home to North Art, and Northlight CIC a community of artists, so the walls carry a changing exhibition and the building never feels like an empty hall. There are art and crafts classes, print room and a picture framing workshop on site as well.
The building is wheelchair accessible into the main gallery area and the toilets.
Tell us what you are planning and we will tell you honestly whether the building suits it.
