Space features
Checkered Room is a private event space in Church Nightclub defined by a black-and-white checkerboard floor that anchors an open club area.
Design: The space presents an industrial-club aesthetic with exposed brick walls, low painted ceiling beams and rows of slender support columns. Colored stage and spot lighting produce moving pools of saturated light across surfaces and a central mirrored disco ball multiplies reflections.
Features: A built-in PA system and house speakers are available, and the room permits bringing your own DJ or playing your own music. The space provides an open dance area, air conditioning and venue Wi‑Fi. The area is wheelchair accessible and includes accessible toilets.
Ideal for: Music-focused groups seeking a lively, standing reception centered on DJ-led dancing and socializing.
What guests say: The space's sound system and lighting are powerful and well balanced. The space's staff are attentive and security procedures are thorough.
