About this space

Located inside Great Wagon Road Distilling in Charlotte’s NoDa neighbourhood, the Barrel Room is a private event space with a cosy speakeasy feel. Exposed brick, warm lighting and ageing whiskey barrels give the room plenty of character, making it a great spot for smaller celebrations and gatherings.

The space is suitable for birthdays, corporate events, client appreciation evenings, holiday parties and private tastings. Guests can sample spirits made on-site, learn about the distilling process and even try whiskey straight from the barrel. Hands-on bottling experiences and custom single-barrel options are also available upon request.

Food can be arranged through the distillery’s in-house catering, or you can bring your own. It's a great choice for groups looking to enjoy good drinks and something a little different from the usual private event.

• Event end time: Guests are allowed at least 30 minutes to disperse after the agreed-upon end time.
• Extensions: Additional event time is subject to availability and extra charges.
• Last call: Staff announce last call 15–20 minutes before the scheduled end time.
• Furniture: Standard furniture shown in the floor plan is included.
• Allowed decorations: Tabletop decor, balloons, and other approved decorations.
• Prohibited: Glitter, confetti, and real candles.
• Cleanup: All decorations must be removed immediately after the event without causing damage.
• Music: Clients may use GWR’s Bose speaker and iPad with Spotify.
• Outside entertainment: Musicians and DJs are permitted with prior approval from the Event Manager.
