The food was splendid. Most of us had sea bass and all loved it. The starters very tasty, especially the soup and the fried squid. Nothing but positive comments about the food from any of us. Two of our party rather fussy and The Trout staff accommodated with two pizzas for them. Our waitress Melissa was wonderful. She was helpful and attentive. Duncan the Manager was there for a nice introduction to the day. 25 of us had a great time for six hours in the room, then enjoyed more drinks outside next to the river
The room was great, but if your party is greater than 20 then you’ll be separated by a central big pillar. I thought that might have spoiled the meal a tad, but frankly, everyone went silent whilst eating the lovely food, and then we moved 5 chairs into the main room and were all together to chat. It all worked out fine.
