Over the years, it’s been a backdrop for visual art exhibitions and live performances to family-friendly workshops, community dinners, film screenings, and creative residencies. The venue was really nice, calm, and easily accessible. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially with arranging the tables, which I really appreciated.
I was disappointed to be charged a £30 cleaning fee, as it didn’t seem justified. We had already paid for an extra hour, giving us 30 minutes before our event to set up and 30 minutes afterwards to clean up. Our original booking was from 12:00–3:00, but with the extra hour it became 11:30–3:30. We had everything cleaned up by 3:15, well before our booking ended. I’ve spoken to the manager and hope this can be resolved. Aside from that, everything else was great, and we had a lovely experience.
