About this space

The Gallery Café is a Café in Manchester Art Gallery that functions as the gallery’s internal café; its defining quality is a flexible, self-contained social space inside the gallery.

Design: The interior pairs pale green painted walls with light timber floors and simple, light-wood tables and stools. Large globe pendant lights and planted pots punctuate an open-plan layout and a clean service counter.

Features: An in-house café counter serves barista coffee and grab-and-go light refreshments. Movable tables, benches and stools allow the seating layout to be reconfigured for different setups. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided and the space is wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Groups seeking an informal, café-style setting for mixed seated and standing socialising and conversation.
