Pop Up Space in a Historic Building

Private space

About this space

Flexible Space 1 is a Pop Up Space in Leeds Kirkgate Market. The space is defined by its open, covered market-hall setting beneath a high industrial roof that delivers abundant natural light.

Design: The interior shows exposed iron trusses, large skylights and a concrete floor that emphasise industrial proportions and clear sightlines. The lighting mix of daylight and suspended festoon bulbs keeps the area bright while maintaining an informal, practical atmosphere.

Features: The space provides venue-grade Wi‑Fi and permits own music and external DJs. The space is wheelchair accessible and includes accessible toilets and a step-free guest entrance. The layout accepts freestanding tables and temporary display stations and can be arranged as an open trading floor or a simple stall layout.

Ideal for: Independent traders, pop-up operators and small market collectives are best suited to casual, walk‑around trading and informal retail setups.

What sets it apart: The space has rows of movable striped canopied stalls that create ready-made vendor bays for display and retail.
