Yes, a small hazer is permitted; the venue team can manage the smoke alarms, and there is enough time for the haze to clear. Haze only is allowed—heavy club-style smoke machines are not permitted.

There is no blackout, and blocking out or diffusing the light is expensive and difficult. It would require scaffolding and a full day because of the height and number of windows.
