About this space
Our Brain Box Studio Theatre is an immersive intimate performance space with a fully functional lighting truss and all the equipment to support your performance.
With this being a black box, this diverse space can be used in a number of different ways. Capacity can vary with the moveable raked seating bank which can hold up to 120.
This versatile space is also great as a conference space, with all of the breakout spaces available for workshops and our main foyer and courtyard being the perfect networking space to complete your day.
The Sprung Harlequin flooring provides a comfortable and flexible surface, while the full theater lighting system ensures that every corner of the venue is beautifully illuminated, creating the perfect atmosphere for any occasion. Our space boasts a fully equipped technical booth, equipped with the latest audiovisual technology.
To maximize versatility and adaptability, we have a retractable truss system in place. This enables easy installation and adjustment of various stage elements such as backdrops, scenery, and lighting fixtures, providing endless possibilities for creative expression.
When it comes to sound, our venue is equipped with a top-of-the-line PA system, ensuring crystal-clear audio delivery to every corner of the space. We also we offer a high-quality projector and screen setup.
Additionally, our venue is equipped with a hearing loop system, providing accessibility for individuals with hearing impairments.

Host rules
No smoking in the building.
No outside catering permitted - only approved caters.
Theatre equipment can only be used if a Boardwalk technician is present.
Alcohol may be served/provided in & by the venue with prior permission by The Boardwalks Events manager.
Any marketing or signage with The Boardwalk name or logo must be pre-approved by the Events manager prior to being shared.
The Boardwalk is a nut-free building.
All publicity information and material, e.g., posters, press releases, and advertisements relating to the renter's lease, must refer to the venue as The Boardwalk.
Access to the premises will be permitted only during the times booked in advance by the Renter and shown on the booking confirmation.
Any additional use of the premises not agreed upon in advance, either before (preparation time) or after (delay in clearing the premises), will result in additional charges.
Cancellation policy: Flexible with Grace Period
