About this space

Steinbeck and Shaw is a bar in a red‑brick building; its defining quality is a performance-friendly layout that accommodates live music and social dancing.

Design: The interior pairs exposed brick and timber panelling with arched windows and high ceilings for a traditional bar character. The plan runs through linked rooms and gentle level changes that form separate seating bays and an open central area.

Features: The venue provides a PA system and permits guests to play their own music or bring a DJ. The space includes a clear floor area for standing and dancing, air conditioning and venue-wide Wi‑Fi. The building has a step‑free guest entrance, wheelchair access and accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Groups seeking a lively, music‑centred evening that combines standing socialising and informal seated areas.
