There are many fun activities that can make your Christmas party in Brisbane a success. If you are renting a private affordable Christmas venue, think about budget-friendly activities such as Secret Santa, scavenger hunts or simply a trivia. Get your private party started with activities like Christmas Karaoke and White Elephant Gift exchanges!

Some of the best ways to reduce costs for your event are to look for minimum spend Christmas venues in Brisbane. These party spaces won't charge you a hire fee, you will simply have to spend a certain amount of money on food and beverages. You can also save money by looking for BYOB holiday venues, which will allow you to provide your own beverages for the event.

Some of our favourite Christmas party venues are:

  • The Sailors Corner is a great place for a more laid-back Christmas party. The party venue has plenty of room for a dinner and dance holiday celebration. This private space can accommodate up to 50 people and is located on the South Bank.
  • The Library at Ovolo The Valley is part of the famous boutique hotel in Fortitude Valley. With a warm atmosphere and luxurious red and green fabrics, The Library is the perfect private place to celebrate your Christmas office party this year.

Hotels provide convenience for out-of-town guests, while also having luxurious event spaces for you to have some fun in. Restaurants with function rooms offer a more intimate and classy experience, perfect for smaller gatherings. Banquet halls have large, flexible spaces suitable for bigger groups and elaborate plans for entertainment. You can also consider unique options like rooftop venues where you can enjoy the sunset, private clubs for an exclusive atmosphere, and waterfront locations for gorgeous views. Ultimately, you should consider the tastes of your colleagues and what they would be impressed by!

Yes, plenty of Brisbane venues offer festive packages that bundle the space with catering, drinks and often decorations. For an end-of-year work do, the details that matter are a private space or full buyout, catering and a drinks package, AV and a stage for speeches or awards, an event coordinator to run the night, and good transport (plus on-site rooms if interstate colleagues are flying in). Corporate packages in Brisbane typically run $85–$135 per person, or a minimum spend of roughly $2,000–$10,000. A few that are set up for it:

Because Christmas here lands in summer, the whole city tips outdoors, and the Brisbane River runs through the best of it. You get long, warm evenings, rooftop sunsets and riverside decks instead of a function room with the heating on. The catch locals plan around is the heat and the odd afternoon storm, so the smart move is a covered terrace, an air-conditioned space or a spot with an indoor–outdoor flow. The city is compact and walkable too, with CityCat ferries linking the party precincts, so guests can get between the CBD, South Bank and the Valley easily.

Booked Heritage Room at The Mix Bar
5.0
We hosted our Christmas party at The Mix Bar Woolloongabba, and the experience was outstanding. Mick was incredibly professional and truly went above and beyond to ensure the success of our event. His willingness to help extended well beyond his role, even offering late at night to go to Coles to pick up extra food in case we ran out. That level of care and service is rare and deeply appreciated. The Heritage Room was a fantastic space, and I will absolutely be returning for future events. Highly recommend.

Excellent communication. Tracey is very professional and helpful. Went out of her way to organise outside vendors for us. I would highly recommend Mr Mista for anyone wanting to host a function.
