This was my second time hosting a party at this venue, and once again, I was really pleased. The staff were helpful, and the venue itself was very clean. We opted for the bar service this time, and our guests were all happy with the drinks.
One of the standout features is how cost-effective it is, especially given the size of the main room. The sound system, microphones, and WiFi were all useful, and the outdoor space adjacent to the hall was a big bonus—especially on a warm, sunny day.
There were plenty of chairs and tables available, and we had partial use of a fully equipped kitchen, which was a great help. They even provide a bit of extra time at the end for tidying up, which was appreciated. Another big plus is that they allow you to bring in your own food and drinks, which gives you a lot of flexibility when planning your event.
Overall, a great experience—I’d definitely book again.
An elevator would be handy but that's a building thing!

About Magdalen Hall
Magdalen Hall Association C.I.C is a Tenants and Residents Association run by a board of volunteers from the estates of St. Saviours, Purbrook & Aylwin (over 740 homes). We are formally recognised by Southwark Council. We are governed by our Articles of Association and elections are held yearly at our Annual General Meeting on the last Thursday of July.
We manage and run the beautiful Magdalen Hall, located a stone throw away from Tower Bridge, with London Bridge, a major transportation hub nearby. It has a spacious hall for rent with a stage for parties, functions, classes and theatre productions; supplemented by two bars at modest prices and discounts for members (tenants and residents of the estates).
