About Cambridge Theatre & Performance Space

Cambridge Theatre & Performance Space is a Tagvenue Partner. This business has registered with Tagvenue and agreed to our venue partner standards.

Cambridge Theatre & Performance Space is a modern purpose-built performing arts venue in central Cambridge, set within an attractive 50-acre city campus. Completed in 2013, the building combines contemporary theatre architecture with a professional performance environment designed for both live events and conference use.

The venue sits in a well-connected part of Cambridge, within easy reach of the city centre and Cambridge railway station. Major road connections including the M11 and A14 are also nearby, making the location convenient for performers, delegates, audiences and production teams travelling from across the region.

The building provides a stylish and modern setting centred around a professionally equipped theatre, with a traditional proscenium layout and wrap-around circle balcony. Large foyer areas, bars and box office facilities provide comfortable spaces for audiences before performances and during intervals.

For productions, the venue offers extensive backstage infrastructure including dedicated dressing rooms, green room facilities, changing areas, rehearsal space and technical areas. There is also professional stage lighting, sound equipment, a motorised flying system and adaptable acoustic treatment.

The venue is suitable for a wide variety of events including theatre, opera, dance, concerts, lectures, conferences, exhibitions, rehearsals, performances and creative productions.
