About this space

Outside Space is an outdoor courtyard at Knotty Barrel Gastropub defined by a long, linear layout and sheltered seating that runs along a single central walkway.

Design: The courtyard presents an urban, industrial-casual look with exposed brick walls, concrete flooring, raised planters and colourful shade sails overhead; string lights span the length of the space for evening illumination.

Features: The outdoor area includes permanent curved bench seating, movable metal tables and chairs, and bar-height counters along one wall. The outdoor area is served by the gastropub for food and drink and has a step-free, wheelchair-accessible entrance.

Ideal for: Groups seeking an informal, social outdoor gathering that combines seated and standing areas in a relaxed, casual setting.

What sets it apart: A central built-in circular fire pit set into curved concrete seating provides a focal point and a place for guests to gather year-round.

What guests say: The outdoor space has a lively, social backyard feel and is consistently described as welcoming and well suited to casual gatherings.
