About this space

Salt Dog Slims Manchester is a compact basement cocktail bar defined by an unpolished, characterful interior and lively music.

Design: The interior is low-ceilinged and compact, featuring dark-painted walls, neon uplighting and a timber-front bar. The fit-out uses worn finishes and vinyl seating, creating a dense, unpolished look.

Features: The bar serves cocktails, beer and bar food at the counter during service, including value items during happy hour. The space contains a pool table and an open area that can be used for dancing. The venue has an in-house PA and speaker system and permits hirers to play their own music or bring a DJ.

Ideal for: Small, music-focused friend groups seeking an informal, social standing reception with room to dance and play pool.

What sets it apart: A concealed downstairs cocktail room accessed from the main bar provides a hidden, intimate space within the venue.

What guests say: The venue is welcoming rather than intimidating, and the space is consistently described as characterful with friendly, engaging staff.
