About this space
Upstairs is Oxford Social's party floor: a self-contained space above the main bar with room for 120+ guests standing, built around a DJ set-up and an open dance floor.
It has its own bar and its own toilets, so once your guests are up here they have everything they need without going back downstairs. That makes it a straightforward space to run as a private event - your group, your music, your night.
Music leads the room. Bring your own DJ or let us arrange one for you, and the floor fills quickly and stays busy. Hire can be shaped around the booking, from an exclusive take-over of the whole floor to a reserved area within it.
The space suits milestone birthdays and private parties, work socials, launches and networking evenings, Christmas and festive celebrations, and wedding receptions or engagement parties.
Drinks come from the same team as downstairs: signature and classic cocktails, arrival drinks, bar tabs and bespoke packages built to your budget. Food can be added in-house, from canapes and sharing plates through to set menus.
You'll find us on Oxford Street in the middle of Manchester (M1), a few minutes' walk from the St Peter's Square tram stop and Oxford Road station, with hotels, restaurants and theatres all around and easy transport home at the end of the night.

Prices
• Rates vary by date. Weeknights sit at or close to the starting price, while Fridays, Saturdays, bank holiday weekends and the December party season are charged at a higher rate. Send us your date and guest numbers and we'll confirm the exact figure for that night.
• The minimum spend is a commitment on food and drinks rather than an extra charge - everything your guests spend at the bar counts towards it, and only a shortfall is invoiced at the end.
• Bookings can run up to 04:30 in line with our premises licence. Drinks packages, arrival cocktails, DJ and food can all be added to the quote.
• New Year's Eve: our premises licence runs straight through from opening on 31 December to the terminal hour on New Year's Day, so NYE bookings are not cut short. Ask us for availability and rates.

Guests under 18 are not allowed after 22:00
Host rules
Entry and age:
• Under 18s are welcome until 22:00 and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No one under 18 is admitted after 22:00, in line with our premises licence.
• We operate Challenge 25. Please bring valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or PASS-accredited card) - without it we cannot serve alcohol.
• Management reserves the right to refuse entry, or to ask guests to leave, for abusive, aggressive or unacceptable behaviour.
• Zero tolerance on drugs. Anyone using or carrying them will be removed and the police may be called.
Food and drink:
• All food and drink must be supplied by the venue. Guests may not bring their own alcohol or catering.
The space:
• No smoking or vaping indoors - please use the designated area outside.
• Decorations are welcome, but no confetti or glitter, and nothing fixed to walls, ceilings or fittings without our approval beforehand.
• Any damage or breakages beyond fair wear and tear will be charged to the person who made the booking.
• We are in a residential and hotel area, so please help us by leaving quietly at the end of the night.
