DROP THE MIC is a podcast studio in Manchester that’s set up and ready to go. You can walk in, plug in your laptop, and start recording without messing around with gear. It’s built for people who just want things to work and sound good.
It’s right in the city centre, about five minutes from Manchester Piccadilly, and there’s free parking for a couple of cars. Easy to get to whether you’re local or coming in from out of town.
Inside, it’s treated and soundproofed properly, so you don’t get background noise or echo. You get clean, clear audio without having to think about it.
There are four mics set up, plus the mixer and everything else you need.

Allowed events
Host rules
Treat the studio, furniture, props, and equipment with care and respect.
Return all moved furniture or props to their original positions.
Dispose of rubbish in the bins provided.
Do not drag furniture across the floor.
Ensure the studio door and the entrance to the studios are locked when leaving.
Switch off all heaters and equipment before leaving.
Please keep food and drinks away from furniture and equipment. Where possible and practical, please use the designated dining area.
Please allow for set up and packing away within your booked time.
The studios contain decorative stepped platforms, structural arches and other features designed as a visual set features only. They should only be used for static posing or styling.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your booking, late arrivals can unfortunately not be permitted additional time.
Bookings may be amended up to 48 hours before the scheduled session time, subject to availability.
No amendments or cancellations are permitted within 48 hours of your booking.
Bookings cancelled within 48 hours will be charged in full and are non-refundable.
Clients who fail to attend their booking (no-show) will also not be eligible for a refund.
If the Studio needs to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund or reschedule option will be provided.
A £50 refundable security deposit is required for every booking. Deposit refunds may take up to 7 working days to process.
Clients are responsible for any damage caused to furniture, props, equipment, flooring, or walls. The cost of repair or replacement will be charged.
Children are welcome at the studios but must be supervised by an appropriate adult at all times.
Cancellation policy: Flexible with Grace Period
