About this space

The Proud Place’s Multi Use Space is the most flexible in the building. With a beautiful skylight, the space is warm and welcoming, making the most of the natural light even on rainy Manchester days .

Flexible furniture allows the possibilities for hosting group activities and events in the space to be endless (within reason!). The space is used by a variety of community groups already and it is also home to our youth groups where people can get creative, take part in courses, and feel safe and supported. A movable wall allows the space to be more private, to suit the needs of all of our groups.

We’re delighted to welcome you to The Proud Place, Manchester’s LGBTQ+ Community Centre. To help everyone enjoy the space and keep it safe, inclusive and comfortable, please follow these simple guidelines:

• The Proud Place is a smoke-free and vape-free building.
• Please treat our spaces and equipment with care - any damage may result in an additional charge.
• No alcohol is permitted on the premises, this is a sober space.
• We ask that you leave the space as you found it, including returning furniture to its original layout.
• Please be mindful of noise levels, especially during office hours (9am–5pm).
• You’re welcome to decorate for your event, but no tape, nails, or pins on walls - just check with us first.
• The Proud Place is a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. Discrimination, harassment or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.
• All bookings and events should reflect our values of equality, inclusion and community.
