About this space

The Ramones Area is a semi-private event space within Roxy Ball Room - Cavern Quarter. The area functions as a gaming-focused zone built around table-based social play.

Design: The area combines bold red and black accents, exposed brick and high industrial ceilings to create a compact, high-contrast interior. The space pairs strip lighting, wooden counters and high stools with street-facing windows that allow natural light into the open layout.

Features: A mix of table games occupies the open floorplan, including a full-size pool table and table tennis, arranged alongside high-top counters and bar seating. A sound system and wall-mounted screens support music and live sports, while Wi‑Fi and air conditioning provide practical comfort. Step-free guest access and accessible toilets are available, and food and drink service is provided from the venue bar.

Ideal for: Groups seeking a relaxed, sociable, activity-led gathering where guests move between games and bar seating.

What sets it apart: A large Ramones band mural provides a bold, signature backdrop that defines the area's aesthetic.

What guests say: The space is lively and benefits from attentive, accommodating staff. The space serves generous pub-style food and delivers quick drink service.

Birthday Party · 20 guests · March 2025
We hired the Ramones area for a birthday party. The location is great, and there are lots of great games to play including pool, table tennis, and beer pong. The equipment is in good condition.
The area was dirty and not cleaned before our visit. Some of the cups for beer pong were dirty and with black mould spots. Wait time at the bar was very long (20-30min) as there were not enough staff.

40th Birthday Party · 25 guests · March 2024
We had a fantastic night at Roxy Ballroom celebrating a 40th birthday. The space we hired came with access to pool/ping pong/beer pong, so plenty to keep us entertained! Bar staff were friendly and service was quick. A few of us ordered food which was amazing and again was quick to arrive. Would definitely recommend to anyone! Really great communication throughout the booking process also! 👍
