The Beattie & MacLennan Room at Òran Mór

About this space

The Beattie & MacLennan Room is a semi-private dining room in Òran Mór characterised by a long, linear plan that creates an enclosed, intimate dining area separate from the main restaurant.

Design: The Beattie & MacLennan Room features patterned wallpaper, wall-mounted brass lamps and a dark-painted ceiling over timber parquet floors. The furniture consists of leather-upholstered dining chairs and plain wooden tables arranged in a straightforward, restaurant-style layout.

Features: The room includes an in-room PA/speaker system, complimentary Wi‑Fi and air conditioning. The space receives natural light and is wheelchair accessible, with accessible toilets and a step-free guest entrance.

Ideal for: Small groups seeking a relaxed, seated, restaurant-style private meal in a compact and informal setting.

What guests say: The space is intimate and comfortable and the food offering receives consistent praise. The room can be affected by noise from the wider venue during busy events, and service levels have been variable on some visits.
