About this space

Guinness Bar is a Bar in Waxy O'Connor's Glasgow and an intimate, low‑ceilinged, wood‑clad snug carved out of the pub's multilevel interior.

Design: The room features dense timber panelling, a low pitched wooden ceiling and worn stone flooring that create a compact, tavern‑style interior. The room is lit by warm pendant and lantern fixtures and shows textured plaster and timber details that emphasise its snug proportions.

Features: The bar counter serves draught beer, spirits and cocktails. Seating is arranged as high tables, stools and bench seating to allow a mix of standing and seated use. The space has Wi‑Fi, wheelchair access, accessible toilets and a step‑free guest entrance.

Ideal for: Friends or small work groups seeking an intimate, relaxed gathering that can be either standing or seated in a traditional pub setting.

What sets it apart: A stone fireplace built into the far wall provides a sheltered focal point for private gatherings.

What guests say: The space is characterful and immersive, with reclaimed-wood detailing and a maze‑like, multilevel layout. The space's quirky, memorable interior encourages exploration between levels.

Great location, relaxed vibes and space, good live music. Staff were helpful and relaxed.

Only slight quibble is that it wasn’t clear that the min spend is actually 700, it was marketed as 500 with a 200 deposit. Would recommend updating for accuracy.
