St George’s is a Resource Church in the Diocese of Leeds. This means we have a city-wide vision and are committed to church planting and giving away resources strategically in order to bless our city. As part of this, we aim to plant or revitalise a church every 3-4 years.
Our last church plant was in October 2022, when 19 congregation members were sent out to join St Peter’s Bramley. In 2021 we planted Holy Trinity Boar Lane, a new midweek plant to love and serve workers in the heart of the city. In 2020 we partnered with St Augustine’s Wrangthorn to plant Church Hyde Park Corner to reach unchurched students. In 2018 we sent a team of 48 congregation members to join the existing congregation of about 25 at St Paul’s Ireland Wood.
