The inspiration for Yakiya was the tradition of yakiniku in Japan, which is the custom of grilling meat at the table, a mix of the old with the new, where the dining is not just something to eat but an interactive experience. It has a presence at two destinations, one in Pasadena and the other in Hacienda Heights, and the guests can choose the multi-course, seasonal journeys through the best of Wagyu and seafood that the Chef’s Prix Fixe menus offer, or they can go on their own discovery with à la carte offerings at their own pace, with low to high difference in the price range.
