Party the night away in a beautiful historic stone building! Established in 2013, The Porch opens up to the downtown San Marcos, TX square and features a room for 268 people (all guests must be 18+).
Featuring natural brick and limestone walls, high tin ceilings and a beautiful hand-crafted circular bar, The Porch is a unique space to host your next private party, wedding reception, birthday, or corporate event.
Our open floor plan encompasses a dance floor, fully equipped stage and P/A with booth, bar-style seating, and patio seating.
Our full bar offerings include a wide selection of liquors and local craft Texas beers. We are happy to source most items from our distributors if you have specific libations you would like to offer to your guests, and our kitchen at our sister bar, The Taproom, can provide a variety of menu options from a la carte ordering to a buffet tailored to your needs. We also allow outside food/catering options on premise for a small fee.
We offer ADA bathrooms and seating options.
Each event comes staffed with a full bar and event security team. If live music or a DJ is your desire, we can also source a sound engineer and any backline required (price varies).
In addition to our dance floor, stage, and bar, we also offer pool, darts, a vintage photo booth, and open-air patio seating that is the best place to see and be seen on the square.

Prices
The minimum bar ring does not include gratuity. Open tabs require a 20% automatic gratuity.
We require a credit card on file for all bar tabs.
We require proof of age for the organizer (no guests under 18 years of age).
If your event is being organized by a TXST student organization, proof of event or organization insurance may be requested.
Bar ring (otherwise known as your rental fee) DO NOT include tax or gratuity.
Bar ring rentals do not include additional fees for entertainment or engineers if your event requires live music or a DJ.
Bar ring minimums can include drink and food if your guests are ordering a la carte from our main menu. If you'd like a catered package, that is an additional fee.

Guests under 18 are not allowed after 9:00 pm

All guests must be 18+.
If your event is being organized by a TXST student organization, proof of event or organization insurance may be requested.
No smoking or vaping in the building.
Outside catering is allowed for a small fee. Outside beverages are not allowed.
Live music and DJs are welcome at The Porch. The venue is not required to provide you with live music and entertainment unless requested. The venue is not responsible for paying your performers. The venue can provide a qualified live sound engineer for an additional fee.
Cancellation policy: Standard 30 day
The Taproom and The Porch is a Tagvenue Partner. This business has registered with Tagvenue and agreed to our venue partner standards.
