The Person Center for All Peoples in Forest Hill, Newark is a bit of a hidden one. More than just a venue, really. It's the kind of place where ideas you've had in your head finally have somewhere to land.

The ballroom is the heart of it. Big, flexible, ready for whatever you're planning. A bit of background - the building's a Georgian mansion built in 1920, sitting in the Forest Hill area of Newark, which has its own history worth knowing about. Inside there's the ballroom, an indoor winter garden, and the gilded salon, all with the original period detailing still in place.

The place is full of 17th and 18th century French and Asian antiques. The lighting's all original Tiffany & Co. There's a big landscaped garden and terrace out back too, if you want to take part of the event outdoors.

It's also one of very few Georgian mansions in New Jersey that actually has a ballroom inside the house, which is part of what makes it stand out.
