About this space

The Yard is a private outdoor space in In Color Studios that occupies an exposed rooftop setting with unobstructed sky.

Design: The Yard presents clean modern lines, horizontal timber cladding and white perimeter walls that form a compact, airy rooftop plane beneath clear skies.

Features: An artificial-turf surface covers the floor and a small raised platform provides a focal area for sets or equipment. An aluminum truss frame offers mounting points for lights or signage. Deck chairs are supplied. The space permits playback of own music and benefits from direct natural daylight.

Host rules

The hours you book the studio are the time you arrive at the studio to the time that you leave. Your rental times include your setup, breakdown and cleanup.

If you and all your items are not out of the studio by the end time of your booking, we will charge you for the additional time. We charge in 1/2hr increments at the full rental rate.

Smoking or vaping is not allowed in the studio or around 20ft off the premises.

We have a pristine white cyc because we are constantly painting it. However, we often have back to back bookings where there may be a couple of visible scratches from the previous booking. We can remove most between rentals, but if you require a perfect cyc please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly. We need 4–6 hours to fully paint the cyc and have it dry in time for your rental.
