About this space

The downstairs bar is separated into three different rooms. The first of which includes the bar itself with bar stools and seating. This leads forward into the second and third room. These contain booth seating with three tables in each. The toilet facilities are in the very back of the building on the same floor.

Detour – Private Hire Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Payment
All private hire bookings must be confirmed in advance and are subject to availability.
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 3 days before the event, unless otherwise agreed.
For evening and weekend bookings, a minimum spend may apply in place of, or in addition to, a hire fee.

2. Capacity & Guest Numbers
Guest numbers must be confirmed in advance and must not exceed the agreed maximum capacity.
Detour reserves the right to refuse entry or stop service if capacity limits are exceeded.

3. Bar Service & Alcohol
All alcohol served during the hire must be supplied and served by Detour staff.
External alcohol is not permitted, unless explicitly agreed in writing (e.g. corkage arrangements).
Detour operates a Challenge 25 policy and reserves the right to refuse service to intoxicated guests.

4. Staffing
All bar service must be carried out by Detour staff.
Staffing levels will be set by Detour based on guest numbers and service style.
Guests are not permitted behind the bar at any time.

5. Use of the Space
The venue must be used respectfully at all times.
Any damage to the venue, fixtures, furniture, or equipment caused by guests will be charged to the hirer.
Decorations are welcome by prior agreement, but no nails, screws, tape, confetti, glitter, candles, or open flames are permitted without approval.
All decorations must be removed at the end of the hire period.

6. Cancellations
Deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the event may be subject to full charges.
Detour reserves the right to cancel in exceptional circumstances, giving a full refund

7. Health, Safety & Conduct
The hirer is responsible for the conduct of their guests.
Detour reserves the right to end the event early if guest behaviour is unsafe, aggressive, or damaging.
No illegal substances or activities are permitted on the premises.
