About this space

Raised Alfresco is a Terrace in The Sporting Globe Chermside; a private, raised outdoor deck separated from the main bar by planter-lined steps.

Design: Timber decking, metal balustrades and dark-framed glazing give the space a low-key, sports-bar exterior. Overhead canopy lighting and open sightlines to the interior keep the area usable into the evening while retaining an outdoor feel.

Features: The terrace has built-in bench seating and freestanding tables plus multiple wall-mounted TV screens. The terrace includes an in-house PA and speakers, venue Wi‑Fi and access to the venue's air conditioning; the venue permits own music or a hired DJ. The area is wheelchair-accessible and provides a step-free guest entrance and accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Social groups and informal corporate teams seeking a relaxed, social space for casual seated meals or standing drinks.

What guests say: The terrace is quieter and more relaxed than the indoor area and features split-level sections. The space provides sightlines to multiple large TV screens for watching live sport.
