About Johnson Hall Rotunda
Johnson Hall Rotunda is a Tagvenue Partner. This business has registered with Tagvenue and agreed to our venue partner standards.
Johnson Hall Rotunda is a gallery and performance venue centered on a circular rotunda that adjoins an auditorium, combining exhibition space and auditorium facilities.
Venue highlights: The venue pairs a central rotunda and an auditorium, creating adjacent exhibition and performance areas and an outdoor terrace around a fountain for receptions. The venue operates an in-house catering service that provides halal, kosher, vegan and gluten-free menus. The building includes lift access and kitchen facilities to support plated or buffet service.
Best for: Recitals and small performances, lectures and panel discussions, and workshops or rehearsals.
Location: Hillsborough Street, adjacent to NC State University's central campus. The street offers a range of cafés and bars that suit post-event dining and informal gatherings.
What guests say: The auditorium delivers clear, auditorium-grade sound and comfortable sightlines for speakers and performers. The venue's staff are responsive and practical when handling logistical and technical arrangements, and the seating and finishes have been refreshed.
