About this space

Bar1939 is a private bar in the National Hotel Miami Beach centred on a compact, retro wood-fronted counter and back-bar.

Design: The interior shows mid-century and Art Deco influences; brass accents and a geometric ceiling light punctuate the high ceiling. Leather swivel stools, patterned floor coverings and tall frosted windows contribute to a compact, vintage look.

Features: The bar provides a full-length service counter with stool seating and a back-bar shelving area suited to mixed-drink service. The space benefits from natural light and complimentary Wi-Fi. The area is wheelchair accessible and has a step-free guest entrance.

Ideal for: Small social groups seeking a relaxed, cocktail-style reception around a central bar and counter seating.

What sets it apart: Bar1939's built-in PA system allows hosts to play their own music through the bar's speakers during private bookings.

What guests say: The bar has personable, welcoming bartenders and live music. The space is eclectic and retro in décor.
