McHenry's Village Squire is like a creaky lodge. The center has a stone fireplace around which stockings are draped during winter and there is a fire all winter, and there are wood-lined walls and ceilings. Low amber glow illuminates the bar along one side.
All of the corners have a little different vibe because there are tables scattered here and there around the rooms and tucked into corners. There are small details like old portraits and stained glass, sometimes including live music.
It's ideal for large family birthday celebrations, dates, and long dinners.
