Getting tasty, authentic Jamaican food in Texas was almost unheard of for a long time. Jamaica Gates has been Errol Byles' vision since he arrived in Dallas for college. Today, Jamaica Gates is the only restaurant in Arlington, Texas serving authentic Jamaican food.
The restaurant has been featured on the popular Food Network hit TV show Diners and Dive, and more recently on ABC. The space is decorated in Jamaican style, with decorations, and furniture creating the atmosphere of the place
